Over 100 Residents Connect with Employers at BeLambeth Apprenticeship Jobs Fair

As part of this year's National Apprenticeship Week, BeLambeth partnered with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to deliver a successful Apprenticeship Jobs Fair at Kennington Park Jobcentre, welcoming over 100 Lambeth residents.

The event created a valuable space for residents to meet employers face-to-face, learn about live apprenticeship vacancies and gain direct insight into career pathways across construction, creative industries, early years education and hospitality.

BeLambeth extends its thanks to DWP for their co-operation and use of their premises, as well as to the employers who supported the event: Multiplex, Vistry Group, London Square, Premier Inn and Keltbray, alongside Byoot.

The impact of the event was immediate and measurable. As a direct result of conversations on the day, several residents have progressed to second stage interviews, with others securing work experience opportunities.

Employers praised the quality of candidates:

“Today was great. I met so many great candidates.” – Premier Inn

Residents also shared the positive difference the event made:

“Coming to the job fair has really helped me, because as a young person, it's really hard to get employers to look at me and talk to me, but this has been really helpful.” – Lambeth Resident

The Apprenticeship Jobs Fair reflects BeLambeth’s ongoing commitment to connecting local talent with meaningful opportunities and supporting employers to access skilled, motivated residents.
