Learners, tutors, staff and partners came together to celebrate another successful year of Lambeth Adult Community Learning at the End-of-Year Celebration and Learner & Staff Awards.
The event recognised the outstanding achievements of adult learners across Lambeth, celebrating the dedication, resilience and commitment shown by those who have developed new skills, gained qualifications and taken positive steps towards employment, further learning and improved wellbeing.
Awards were presented for Outstanding Colleague, Outstanding Tutor, Outstanding Learner and Outstanding Learner Group, highlighting the inspiring achievements of individuals and teams who have made a real difference throughout the year. The celebration was made even more special through the support of key partners, including the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), who presented one of the awards on the day, reflecting the strong partnerships that help learners achieve their goals.
Our GLA colleague, attended and praised the skill and commitment in the room, saying, “It's obvious that this is a true partnership; this is how Adult Community Learning should be done.”
The Mayor of Lambeth, Councillor Valentine, also reflected on the celebration:

It was inspiring to celebrate the positive impact you are making across our community, and I wish you all the very best for the future."
Lambeth Adult Community Learning offers a wide range of courses that help residents build confidence, gain qualifications, develop employability skills, improve their wellbeing and progress into work or further learning. Events like these demonstrate the life-changing impact that learning can have and the importance of the partnerships that make these opportunities possible.
